CULTURE AND LANGUAGES: English teacher

Being English teacher is only a pleasure. I’m teaching – hmm, around 7 years. It’s a lot of time and still a lot of fun. I don’t deny, the end of semester can be very hard and I feel tired. Anyway, it’s very important part of my life. During these few years I’ve met many students – from the youngest 7 years till mum of one of them. Each of them has own “strategy” – some learns quickly and with pleasure, some in contrary – very slow and with real resistance for the teacher ;)

With many of them I go through life – I’ve thought them from 2,3 and even 4 years. We have a lot of in common – success and defeats at school. What’s the most important, it is a great social experience for me. Each of my students is different – not only because of age. They are interested in many things, we’re talking about many problems, they are happy because of different things and different things make them sad. They are full of knowledge about the world around us.

The most I remember about getting to know about The Flying Spaghetti Monster church. I’m well-read, with connection to Internet – and had no idea about that new „religion”. It’s unbelievable that people can create something like that. As you can see – the whimsy doesn’t have any borders. Other day I heard that “I’m geek” and „telling stupid things” – well, worthily I noticed it. Finally, not every teacher is perfect.

For now, my record is 13 students during one week. It’s lucky number – each of them in different place, at different hour. It required great organization which I can great copy with. The English teacher managed!

Teaching is great fun – and so much satisfied when my students achieve great results and what’s the most important – they can’t wait for next lesson. Priceless!
