HUMAN WORLD: Travelling bigger and smaller - Barcelona
Sunday, January 26
Saturday is a great day to start a new topic on my blog- travelling :) I’m a vagrant and from time to time I feel the call of my nature and nothing will stop me before buying tickets to some amazing place. I’ve decided to start from my last journey – I’ll take you to the north-eastern Spain – to Barcelona! I’ve tried to go to Barcelona three times but always it ended in another city. Finally it happened in October last year. There was cold in Poland and in Spain … sun, 25C and short T-shirts. That was the best for me as a thermophile. In travelling part of my blog I’ll focus on describing interesting places in each cities. Barcelona is a capital city of Catalonia which wants to be independent. It’s also second the biggest city in Spain and main center of maritime and flying transport. However, I was flying to Girona – cheap flying airport, which is around 100 km from the city center. It wasn’t a problem because transport is perfectly done.
So, what interesting can we see in Barcelona? My list is totally subjective of course.1. Sagrada Familia: the most famous place in Barcelona so it’s number one on my list :) It’s known because it’s built all the time from the beginning (planned finish time – 2028). It was designed by Antoni Gaudi whose works we can see in the whole city. It’s on World Heritage List. It makes amazing impression, especially construction which is similar to termite mound.2. La Rambla: the most famous street which comes from Plaça de Catalunya to Krzysztof Kolumb monument at the seaside. It’s very crowded place, full of tradesmen – not Spanish mostly, restaurants and building designed by Gaudi. You can eat here delicious seafood and visit La Boqueria – market full of juicy fruits, vegetables, fish and many more.
3. Palau de la Música Catalana: concert hall which is different than others because it’s fulfilled with sun light thanks to windows around it. There is a place where you can listen to classical music and light music as well. I recommend you going to flamenco concert.4. Park Güell: next masterpiece of Gaudi – garden. Next place full of tourists, tradesmen who are running with their staff from guards, street musicians and beautiful plants. You should have quite a lot of time because the garden is very big and it can take many hours to walk there.
5. Labyrinth Park of Horta: less popular place, known form the movie „Perfume: The Story of a Murderer”. On Sunday you can visit it for free. The labyrinth is in the center of park and is interesting place for children and adults as well.I’ll come back to Barcelona for sure – I hope, not only once! Warm sea, interesting places, fresh seafood – what can I want more :)Autor: Unknown Etykiety: HUMAN WORLD | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |
