picture source: www.corepower.comI can’t count how many years I’m the fan of green tea. I think it became by accident – I just wanted to try something new. Before I fell in love with green tea, I liked drinking black tea with a lot of lemon. However, it’s not so healthy. Probably, together they produce aluminum citrate which can be harmful for people. Is it really like that? I think that we should think twice about it and read some researches. For me, from time to time black tea with lemon is the best in the world :) Let’s back to green tea – what’s this and healthy?Green tea is a brew of China tea leaves. Young leaves are collected from bushes with a high attention. It’s necessary to keep them safe. Next, they wilt and are heated – it prevents from oxidation. Then leaves are curled and dried. Making of green tea is very quick process – it takes around 8-14 hours. Green tea can be brewed in Chinese way – pour hot water, then pour it out and again pour with water in temp. 70C. leaves can be brewed a few times. Times of brewing can be different as well – 2(3) minutes and you have refreshing drink, 5(6) minutes – relaxing one. As you wish :) I usually like short brewing.
Does green tea have any good points? Of course! It’s used in eastern medicine because it improves heart function, concentration, maintains normal sugar level in blood, and thanks to polyphenols (chemical compounds with antioxidant) protects from cancer (this is not proved). It also improves digestion and metabolism, increases immunity, neutralizes nicotine and has many other advantages. The most famous types of green tea are:· sencha: Japanese green tea which leaves aren’t grinded, stonger than Chinese teas,· matcha: also Japanese, powdered, often used as additive to cakes. Their leaves are protected before sun by special mats. It makes it more aromatic and sweeter,· gunpowder: Chinese tea which name comes from its appearance – it looks like gunpowder.I don’t have any doubts to drink green tea and I’m trying new tastes. There are a lot of products in the shops so let’s try them :)Autor: Unknown Etykiety: KITCHEN | Email This BlogThis! Share to X Share to Facebook |
