    What should we really think about television? Watch it or not? Devote time or not? Valuable or not? These and many other questions related to the invention of the 20's of the last century I answered myself long time ago. Today, completely subjectively, briefly describe them. But let's start from a tiny dose of history. The first television broadcast was organized between London and New York on 27th January 1928. Half year first color broadcast was made. Of course, the television started earlier, but it’s about first broadcasts. In Poland, it is considered that the precursor of television was  Jan Szczepanik, who in 1897 patented the "telektroskop" –  the camera to reproduce images at a distance by means of electricity. And so it started ...

              Today, supermarkets offer the latest technologies at affordable prices. LCD, LED, plasma and latest invention – FED which is not common. What else? 3D effects, size which is so big that sometimes you’ll have no more wall to install it, WI-FI and many, many more other gadgets. And still we hear "there is nothing to watch"- even if we have more than 100 channels, or sometimes even more than 1000.
    For me, television can not exist – I don’t have to watch it. Today all we can find on the Internet, so it may be a possible alternative. But why waste your time? ;) You can spend it doing so many other fascinating things – book, walk, gym, talk ... I'm not saying that I don’t watch it at all. Contrary, it happens that I stare at the screen – usually scientific programs. My daily life is without television.
              But there are definitely some advantages of television, for sure! Hmm ...
    - provides information about the world - events, sports, culture, politics;
    - educational channels provide a large dose of interesting information;
    - channels spoken in foreign language help to learn it ... it's probably enough on this issue.
              Fortunately, being the ruler of the remote control lets you decide whether you want to clog you mind with worthless information , or want to find out and learn something new. My approach to television is "95 % minus" ;)
