I’ve always liked interesting ideas for example lectures in Historical Museum (not obligatory!) where I was the youngest participant or bookcrossing and many more. Few weeks ago I explored something new – postcrossing. Long, long time ago I was writing letters and emails with different people – from Poland and other parts of world. My writing was  global ;)
What is postcrossing? First step in you adventure will be registration on www.postcrossing.com. It takes a few seconds and you and you can be a member of the global community. I think that it’s worth to spend few minutes to fill your profile. Add information about your hobby, interests etc. It also will be easier to send you cards. If you have any special ideas about postcards which you want to receive, write about it.
I love traveling so will be happy to receive with city or country views. Don’t forget to add your address :)

For the beginning you can send 5 postcards to random people. My went to USA, Russia, Germany, Lithuania and Netherlands. Each cards has its own identity number which you should write on it. It helps to register your card. It’s possible to swap cards with one person for longer time – as you wish :)
This project is written in English and postcards should be as well in English. Or you and your receiver know other language which you can communicate with. The postcrossing started in 2005 and was created by Portuguese – Paulo Magalhães. I think he was surprised with the popularity of his idea. Now there are 470,000 registered users from 216 countries. The most are from Russia, USA, China and Taiwan. Polish users are 5,2%. The leader is Wilhelm from Germany who sent 12807 cards! Woow, it’s really amazing!
I’m waiting for my first card from some place in the world :) I recommend you this idea :)
