Honestly, for me yoga is only a type of doing exercises. Of course I can be criticize by many people for these words. But for me it is in the same level as for example pilates which I was writing last week about. Let’s start with a little piece of history.
In the Internet you can find almost 40 (!) types of yoga. Quite nice when I’m talking about “common exercises” ;) First trace were found in diggings from BC times. It’s amazing that this culture is still alive. Yoga is one part of Hindi philosophy. It describes the connection between human body and his mind. When you’re doing special exercises, keep spiritual discipline and obey ethical rules, you’ll find deliverance.
If you think about yoga only as physical exercises (as me), mostly you think about hatha-yoga. It’s based on special body positions called asana and good control of breathing. Thanks to doing asans, you can achieve internal harmony and enhance your body. It’s a great solution to loose and stretch muscles. Additionally, breathing exercises help you to control your emotions, hush and makes you to hear your interior. I chose 3 „animal” asans, which you can hear often about:
    1.      Adho Mukha Svanasana (The dog with its head down – source: www.indovacations.net):
    2.      Kūrmāsana (Tortoise – source: theyogicprescription.com):

    3.      Mayūrāsana (Peacock – source: theyogicprescription.com)
There are a lot of benefits connected with yoga. The most important are:
    - treating headache and jointache,
    - help in depression treating,
    - help during losing weight,
    - increase of muscle strength,
    - better work of blood circulation and neural system,
    - good influence on heart,
    - cells oxygenate,
    - better metabolism.
I think it’s a good idea to do yoga. Mainly, that it’s a perfect set of exercise if you want to stretch and amplify your muscles. Till now, I’ve only had a little contact with that form of exercising but I hope to come back. Polish market is full of a lot of offers – from small schools to big yoga centers. Yoga is becoming trendy and its popularity is increasing.
