Step by step I’m coming to the end of the part about „films from …’s”. But before it’ll be it’s time for films from 70’s. It was a decade when well-paid films were produced and thanks to that a lot of people were coming to cinemas. It was not only young people but older as well. It was a good time for advertisements which helped many films to become famous. 70’s were great for Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Roman Polański or Francis Ford Coppola. In Poland it was still time for historical films.

Lovers (but not only) of tea remind that you can read two more posts about tea – green and white, so today is a time for their one – red tea. Ok, I drink it very rarely but the taste of my favourite Rooibos here is irreplaceable (till now of course). It’s the best for long winter evening and nights in front of computer screen ;) Red tea comes from China but it’s also produced in Taiwan. It’s called Pu Erh – name comes from the city Puer which is in Yunnan province – it’s commonly known as a place where tea is produced. I think that many of people see it in shops on tea boxes. There are special trees in Yunnan, called Qingmao and the have special leaves. The leaves are specially prepared – fermented and dried in special baskets. It’s a way of preparation known in China for more than 1000 years and probably it won’t change. It doesn’t have to – thanks to it, red tea has many benefits which I’ll tell you later about.

I remind travelling lovers (but not only :)) that there are two more posts connected with my big passion – Barcelona and Paris. Today is a time for next European city and answer the question – what is worth to visit in … Prague? I’m writing about it after two previous cities but honestly it’s my favourite city and I can come back there as many times as it’s possible. I’ve been there four times but there are still so many places to visit. Anyway, if you’ve ever had any doubts, don’t have them anymore, it’s really worth to go there!

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and is situated on the Vltava River. Its history started in 500 BC, when Celtic tribes settled there. For years governments in the area have changed – until year 800, when the dynasty of Přemyslid founded the city. Over the years there was better or worse, there were many wars and the city was passed from hand to hand. At the end, in 1784 one city was made from five separated – Old Town, New Town, Josefov, Mala Strana and Prague Castle. That’s the present Prague – beautiful with characteristic red roofs which you can see on the main picture :)

Here is the next weekend so that’s the time for next decade – it’s time for films from 60’s. The decade is also called “brown ages of Hollywood”. Mostly young people were present in cinemas – they usually were born after war. They could watch TV but were looking for different kind of entertainment. Step by step it was beginning of cinema made by individual people, for example Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Stanley Kubrick and etc.

It wasn’t good time for Polish cinematography. Polish cinema school was closed at the beginning of 60’s because films were thought to be not agreeable with faction values. Many artists emigrated to USA where they have bigger opportunity for success. Nevertheless it’s worth to mention Andrzej Wajda (Polish director) who is a star ;) – in 1968 he made “Wszystko na sprzedaż” (“Everything for sale”) – film was inspired by Nowa Fala (New Wave) which was coming into European market. There was also time for historical films and documental. 1969 was the beginning of Young Culture Cinema in Poland – it showed reality without hiding anything.

Last week I was writing about benefits of green tea – today you’ll get to know a little bit about benefits of white tea. Have you ever tried it? I thinks so! Today you can find a lot of kinds in the shops. You don’t have to go to the special shop to but something valuable. You’ll find good products in supermarkets as well. My first meeting with white tea was a few years ago. By accident I saw it in the shop where usually I didn’t buy anything. Ok, but the white tea is exactly?

The answer is very simple – it’s made from young leaves and not undeveloped buds, which are collected in the early spring in China. Later leaves and buds are dried on the sun and they don’t ferment. What’s more tea bushes are protected from sun light and they don’t produce chlorophyll (green plant pigment). Leaves are not folded – they’re natural all the time. I’m talking about tea in leaves, not in bags ;) Production of white tea is very traditional and restrict – that’s the reason of its price which is from 20 to even 100 PLN per 100g. White tea brew isn’t white but light yellow. Name comes from undeveloped buds which are covered with grey hair. The taste of white tea is mild and without bitterness which is typical for green tea.

Today is high time for next journey and answer the question what is worth to visit in … Paris?! I think the city is amazing and there it’s not overstatement. For me – marvelous and I wish to go there once again in the future. My journeys are the most often very short but I’m trying to visit as many places as I can. Before I’ll present you my top 5 of Paris, few words about the city. I think that all of you know that’s the capital of France J It’s situated on the River Seine and its history lead us to 1^st century BC.  The name is made from earliest inhabitants – Parisii, the Gaulish tribe.

          As all cities, Paris had its ups and downs. The first were connected with Houses of Capetians, Valois and Bourbons from X to XIX century. 1789 was a year when The Bastille (fortress in Paris) was stormed by a crowd – it’s the beginning of French Revolution which was also the end of the House of Bourbons. Paris was also the city were many Polish emigrated, especially in XIX century –Adam Mickiewicz, Fryderyk Chopin, Cyprian Kamil Norwid and Juliusz Słowacki. There is Polish Library from 1839 which was created by Adam Czartoryski, Julian Niemcewicz and  Karol Sienkiewicz. It’s the oldest Polish institution abroad. Today Paris has a lot of problems with immigrants – there are a lot of them.

My dear readers, there is a time for me to do some summary. I’m doing my plan and don’t want to give up. Just the opposite! – changes are coming :) Better changes – I like them very, very much! Last two months were great to prepare some conclusions about writing a blog. It’s not as hard as I thought in the past. Now I know that if you’re writing about things which are interesting for you, you can have a lot of pleasure and satisfaction. Till now my blog has been divided into six parts. Each of them was connected with my interests – wider or narrower, but with topics which I wanted to write you about. Each part was made for one day of the week. I was trying to write posts six times a week. Now I know that’s too much (a little bit ;)). Anyway it was impossible from time to time. I’ve decide not to change my general idea but make some changes which won’t let you being bored and give me more time to breathe.

From the nearest week I invite you to read posts from three parts :)

1.   Human world: you’ll find here all information connected with people. Health, sport, senses, even beauty (why not!), motivation, self-development, body, travelling and many more.

2.   Culture and languages: this part is very near to me :) so – methods of teaching and learning languages, films and books reviews, language news, ways of spending free time and many more.

3.   Kitchen: that’s the part which I love the most :) you’ll find here not only recipes for delicious dishes and cakes but also useful information connected with cooking, news about various cuisines and products, a piece of savoir-vivre.
