In last post I wrote that 20ties were a moment when the cinema was silent and first sound films were made as well. So there was a big change – from pictures only with subtitles to dialogues which could be heard form cinema screen. That change broke many actor’s careers – mainly because of the language border. It was also the end of many producing companies which couldn’t afford to change the expensive equipment – it was Great Depression around the world (1929-1933). But on the other side it was a great time to develop musicals. For me 20ties are connected with funny comedies or melodramas with happy end. Below I chose the most famous films from this decade in chronologic order – some of them I’ve watched and the rest are waiting for their turn :)

Story: there are mystery murders in small German city. The friend of one victim says that it can be caused by hipnotist.
