Today’s post will be totally subjective and connected with my own experience. So all information which you read can be treated jokingly and you can modify it as you wish.
I think that I cope with organizing my time very well and with pleasure will share my thoughts ;) I’ve never had any problems with organizing my time and I’m very happy because of it. Most things which had long deadline, were made earlier so as to have more free time to relax :) That was with my Master work on first studies – a few days of intensive work were followed by relaxing months. That’s right that with my Bachelor work was different and not so easy but some aberrations are sometimes very good ;)
I think that there is no golden mean to realize all you plans in the proper time, without accelerating and not sleeping few nights before the deadline. I use some great things to organize my time and they are needful for me – you can easily buy them and use. They are very helpful. Below you can see small visualization :)

We’re spending Christmas laziness doing some investigations and guessing the solutions of “Black stories”. Do you know this game? If not, let’s go on a short trip – I’ll show you chilling stories. The beginning of black stories is hard to tell but its author is Holger Bösch, who liked making stories at school and telling them to friends. First black story was created in 1984 when he was in Israel on apple gathering. There he found his first listeners who were interested in stories. Bösch made a decision to writing and gathering the stories – the name was created by accident and it’s used by now. Now, black stories are created for many people but Bösch is a person who made an idea of the game.

Classical music is one my favourite one. I’ve never been a fan of one, specific kind of music but I’m faithful to classical music from years. I don’t even remember how and when it started but it was long time ago. Classical music has many genders and they are for listening to, not for example for dancing or film music. Let’s see closer the genders of classical music. Of course I’ll write you only general information- if you’re keen on it, you should read some specialist literature.

Today I’m writing my post number 29 but tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I’ll do summary today J My 30 days plan is coming to the end and as I said before I’m going to continue this job – let’s do next 30 days. Now I know that some changes are necessary – first of all writing 6 posts per week is not always possible. All the more I’m writing two language versions and it takes more time. There are situations when I can write post and for the translation I don’t have a power – physical and mental. I’ve decided to continue with daily topics of posts but sometimes I’ll do some exceptions from my systematicity ;) I’ll try to balance the amount of post in each category from menu. Farther, I’m learning HTML and hope to do look of blog more as I wish :)

  5. CULTURE AND LANGUAGES: Scrabble

    Saturday, December 21

I’ve just finished next favourite family game – scrabble. So why not see it closer? It was invented in 1931 in the USA by Alfred Butts. We was an architect but unemployed then and he decided to create a new board game. He counted value of letter being based on frequency of letter in the New York Times cover. First game called “Lexiko” was sold in 1946, than it changed name to “Criss Cross Words”. We wanted to turn many manufactories on his product but they claimed it’s boring. Finally he used help of retired clerk James Brunot who was keen on board games. They modified the game and changed name into Scrabble (from English word to grope). At the beginning they produced it themselves. The mass production started in 1948 when the rights for it were bought by Selchow&Righter company.

Today is the beginning of very special weekend :) Maybe it’s worth to use it for family visit in the museum? Of course if the cultural offer of our city allows it. I didn’t know but museum has its own definition in Polish law. I wouldn’t translate it but shortly we can say that museum role is to collect, protect and arrange collections. Then making the opportunity to watch them and creating sensitivity for culture.

We can find nuts in many dishes – cakes, ice creams, chocolates, but also in meat meals and salads. They are rich in protein (25%), vitamin E – antioxidant, which protects from heart diseases and atherosclerosis. They contains unsaturated fats, healthier ones. From the other side they are very caloric but reasonable eating shouldn’t cause getting fat ;)
We can choose many kinds of nuts – sold by weight, in packets, in nags or boxes. It’s very important to check country where they come from. Nuts should be dry and for example walnuts are the best in husks.

I haven’t even heard about it – that was what I thought ;) That’s why I decided to investigate it very carefully. The Total Immersion is about being in touch with the language all the time. Talking, reading newspapers, watching TV, even thinking. It’s well known by people who are going abroad and don’t have any contact with their mother tongue. They don’t have any choice and have to use for example English in daily life – in the shop, on the street, at school and work.

Today I’ll try to find the answer for very important question, especially during Christmas time when we’re buying gifts and present for our friends and family. How not to lose your mind and how not to be cheated by dishonest sellers? Have you ever been cheated doing online shopping? I think yes, that you have at least one such “adventure”. Most of my online transactions were very satisfying, but one day some seller claimed that rectangle is a square, even if dimensions were for a square.

  10. Architecture is at my home and in myself as well. No one in  my family is an architect, but we have a lot of magazines, projects etc. long, long time ago I had a notebook with my own projects. Hmm… sometimes less, sometimes well done ;) but it wasn’t the end – I put them in special computer programme where I could watch them “in reality”. And then I saw that something is missing here, there is something too much, too narrow and so on. However, it was really creative!
Then I started doing totally different things and my dreams about architecture disappeared – till now drawing a cat is a challenge for me. Now I like watching magazines and websites with inspirations and ideas. It’s amazing how common things can be used in totally different way.

There is a next weekend now and we can relax and think only about pleasure. One of forms of spending free time can be going to the cinema. Honestly, lately I haven’t had any chance to go there and almost forgotten how it looks likes. But there is no obstacle to change it.
Let’s start from the beginning. The grandma of our TV is camera obscura. Maybe it’s more connected with cameras but it has a lot of common with cinema as well. It was optical device which allowed to show real pictures. Other device which is an ancestor of slide projector was laterna magica. It was developed around 1645. The most famous names in cinematography were Lumière brothers. In 1895 they made cinématographe to show movable pictures. On 28th December there will 118 anniversary of first projection. Then it was “Workers Leaving the Lumière Factory” and “Arrival of a Train at a Station”. With the second there is a funny story connected that viewers who were sitting the nearest were so much afraid of coming train that they escaped form cinema with hurry ;)

  12. HUMAN WORLD: Home workout

Today the topic which demands a lot of determination and motivation :) I’m talking about exercises at home. I think it need twice more will than going to gym or fitness – it’s in my case. When we are mobilized, we can train, train and train!
In the Internet we can find a lot of ready sets with exercises – free and paid as well. I think that free are as good as paid ones. In the beginning it’s worth to buy some equipment – exercises mat on the first place.

  13. KITCHEN: Bananas in chocolate

    Wednesday, December 11

I love Wednesdays – it’s a day when I can show you my little kitchen miracles. Today is for a very simple dessert – simple but cute. It will great for children birthday party and will cheer up meeting with our a bit older friends as well. I’m talking about bananas in chocolate with colorful hundreds-and-thousands (sprinkles) :) Yes, yes I know that they are very unhealthy but take it easy – don’t eat them too much and not too often and nothing will happen. Don’t be mad ;) The recipe is very easy but I like to use those which are tested by other people. And this time again I used that from blog: www.makecookingeasier.pl.

We can find a lot of methods which can be used to improve our learning of foreign languages. Today I’ll write about SITA method and its effectiveness in English learning. The definition of this method sounds very interesting – it uses the deep state of relaxation by timing two hemispheres. Isn’t great to relax and in the same time learn something? I’m sure you know that this method uses special device – there are glasses with earphone. Its purpose is to change breathing into light and sound stimulus. First time the device was made in 1984, based on the project of Karl Heinz Gelsen from Hamburg. Now, students can use fourth generation of it, which was designed by Polish scientist – Roman Chmielewski.

Today a very short post, because I have a cold and am spending my time in bed :( This post will be a prelude to further posts on this subject. Motivation is an important aspect of our life. It allows us to do different things and not put them on later. Generally, in the literature, we can find two kinds of motivation - internal and external. It’s much better to use the first one of course. It causes the great feeling of accomplishment – isn’t it amazing feeling when we do something without any constraint? I think that each of us has experienced such a feeling.

I recommend you visiting philharmonic during following weekend. My experience is not so big but very rich! My first visis was couple years ago and couldn’t be better :) I organized a small meeting with my friends and we went to a concert of German quintet – Quinteto Ángel (more info: www.quintetoangel.de). The concert was so so so great, boys were playing remarkably – with energy and passion. Their play is very good and I really regret that they didn’t play in Cracow this year.
Let’s get to know with a story of philharmonic. Its beginning was in Italy – Bologna and Verona. During XVIII and XIX century a lot of places arose, in Poland it was in 1817 in Cracow – and it’s still here :) At the moment we have 18 in Poland – almost in each big city.

  17. HUMAN WORLD: Self-defence

    Thursday, December 5

I’ve noticed that self-defense courses are becoming more and more popular recently. I like it and I wanted to check it as well :) Because I like trying new kinds of spending my free time, I went to self-defense lesson. And what? I was really disappointed – it’s obvious that this kind of abilities are very useful, but the atmosphere of lesson was very stodgy. There were four women – two 25+ and two 45+ and instructor, of course. If it is about him, I don’t have any objections – fighting sports are his passion. What’s more, he told us about seminars which he is attending – it means that he’s actively involved into his hobby. What’s interesting, if this kind of person, for example having black belt in karate, will take part in fight, can have a big problem with police or even with court.

  18. KITCHEN: Flour - white death?

    Wednesday, December 4

Today's post will not contain any recipe, but will be connected with one ingredient of my favourite cakes, cookies, muffins and other delicious desserts. Flour is practically required for most baking things. First I’ll say a few words about its production, then about the kinds and types that can be found in stores.
The beginning of flour was around 9,000 years BC - woow pretty good ;) then it was made from grains by using flat stones. First mill was built much later – in the 19th century. Nowadays grains are milled in a mechanic way. The endosperm of flour, which is inside, is separated from the outside one – seed layer. The endosperm is used to produce the flour and the seed layer for brans. There two types of machines which are used to produce the flour – grinding and weeding out. That’s how different quality types of flour are made. Of course, less recycled, better type
    :)

  19. Today I’ll write about next method of learning English. It’s a bit older than Helen Doron’s from last week. The beginning if it was in 1960. It’s based on conversations. Also, it’s connected with the natural human ability to learn by automatic listening and repeating words – the same as little children are learning how to speak in their mother language. The teacher has to correct any mistakes which students make during talking. He answers many questions and aims at getting answers automatically. At the end, students understand their words without any doubts.

Many young students can be happy that this method doesn’t use homework, they don’t have to write vocabulary and make notes. This method is focused on speaking, speaking and once again – speaking. Grammar isn’t explained and it’s learned when the opportunity occurs. It’s based on repeating all the time.

  20. On 12th and 13th October I had pleasure to take part in amazing event – National Achievers Congress in Warsaw. During two days there was a great meeting for almost 4,000 people in one place. It was also a time for Polish and foreign speakers which were fabulous. What was it about?
Generally we can divide subject of NAC into two categories – first was about personal development and second – about financial independence. There were real stars and authorities on the scene, Polish and foreign: Robert i Kim Kioysaki, Les Brown, Blair Singer, Andy Harrington, Mateusz Grzesiak, Mariusz Szuba, Marcus de Maria and many more great speakers.
